The Cape makes world-class wine.

South Africa is one of the world's oldest New World wine regions, with vines dating to 1659. Old bush vines, granitic soils, dual ocean influences and a generation of low-intervention winemakers have placed Cape wine on every serious sommelier's list. Advine selects bottles that show what South Africa really does best - and brings them to Sweden.

Four regions to know.

Stellenbosch

South Africa's most decorated wine region. Granitic soils, cool Atlantic breezes and centuries of estate winemaking. Stellenbosch reds - Cabernet, Pinotage, Bordeaux blends - sit comfortably alongside the world's best.

Constantia

The Cape's historic heart, founded in 1685 - the oldest wine-producing region in the southern hemisphere. Cooled by False Bay breezes, Constantia is celebrated for elegant Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and the legendary sweet Vin de Constance.

Franschhoek

The 'French Corner' founded by Huguenot settlers in 1688. Tight, mountain-rimmed valley known for elegant Chardonnay, Sémillon and traditional method Cap Classique sparkling wines.

Swartland

South Africa's most exciting frontier. Old bush vines, dry-farmed Rhône varieties, low-intervention winemaking. The region behind the natural and minimal-intervention movement that has put Cape wine on every sommelier's list.
